Madison - 2 months old!

Miss Madison is 2 months and 1 week old!! We took her to her 2 month check up on Wednesday (7.28.10) and she got all her shots and everything. The Dr. also informed us that she will need to go to physical therapy to correct a problem in her neck. The neck muscle on the left side of her neck either developed wrong or just developed too short. She said that it most likely happened when I was pregnant with her. Because of this she tilts her head to the left almost constantly. She will hold it straight sometimes but will never tilt it to the right. Because of the tilt her head is not only flat on the back (which is kind of normal from babies sleeping on their backs) but it's also flat on the side. This has caused some asymmetry in her face. So to correct that we have to take her to a neuro surgeon. The Dr said that in worst case scenarios that she would have to wear a helmet to re-shape her head. The flatness is pretty minimal, Jon and I can barely tell unless we look really hard. She also said that since we caught it this early that it should be easy to fix! Madison has her first physical therapy appointment on Wednesday, so wish us luck!!

A couple days before her 2 month checkup we had to take her to the Dr for throwing/spitting up more then normal. He said she probably has acid reflux, and so he prescribed her some medicine, and it seems to help. Other then all of that she's healthy as can be. She weighs 12.1 lbs now and is 23 in. tall!! She's growing up so fast already!! She's starting to giggle some and smiling up a storm!!

As you know Jon found a job at NTB (National Tire and Battery), he's doing very well there, working full time. I also went back to work part time and get to spend most of my time home with the baby! :) Jon and I, however, have decided for Jon to join the military. The #1 choice is the Air Force and the #2 choice is the Navy. All he has to do is get back in shape and study hard for the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). The Air Force is a lot harder to get into then the Navy, but I'm confident that he can do it! We'll keep you updated on the progress he makes to enlisting! :)
